Review On HSBC’s Campaign “Lift”- from Grey London

Review On HSBC’s Campaign “Lift”- from Grey London

This day and age, the idea of establishing and growing a business has inspired people through marketing tools such as articles, infographics, podcasts and videos. Enlivening the spirit of entrepreneurship has and will be ignited in many still but the act of encouraging professionalism and relationships between those who you work with, can only be fired up  by advertisements. Since the heroics of the internet, people have adopted new and creative ways to encourage almost everyone to stand up and make a point in their lives to change, grow and learn. And we, human to human, lead such expeditions and gain so much without even realizing the importance of it. This is how HSBC’s campaign, Lift, has become one of the most striking advertisements this year. There was portrayal of anticipation in the introduction bit of the video, when the founder of Cadours Industries, walked in his new corporate building to attend to the lift to reach upon his office, on the sixth floor.  That take was the perfect giveaway of how new business startups emerge from the bottom-most floor to the paramount canvas of the building; from close quarters and cabins and a few employers to a much more defined organization; and how each level is as significant as the next and as symbiotic as the last. Then comes the most interesting and creative part of the video, the LIFT, which was aptly conveyed through the actors’ postures, attitude, fashion, make-up and their expressions. It felt as if that man’s entire business life, from being a fresh businessman to the cusp of his successfulness towards the end, was...
The Decline of Facebook’s Organic Reach

The Decline of Facebook’s Organic Reach

Since 2014, business pages have been summoned to expect a drastic fall in the organic reach to engage their fans and followers on Facebook. This has made many marketers and analysts mad at Facebook for further narrowing the algorithm down to such a low percentage that it has gotten strenuous for social media marketers to draft a solid plan for Facebook Marketing, without paying money. Furthermore, the lifespan of a Facebook post is comparatively weaker as opposed to its relevancy and organic reach. So, there are chances that my Facebook post will not appear in your news feed even if one of your Facebook friends likes, shares or comments on it. So, when it comes to expanding the boundaries of a good, appropriate and worthy audience, the stakes are extremely high.   The organic reach of business pages was barely hitting 6 percent, but now it’s declining even further and faster. At such a standpoint, it’s unyielding to blame Facebook for following a path like most other social media channels when it comes to advertising, but at the same time, it has become difficult, but not impossible, to create and expand one’s potential audience for businesses who are either startups or looking for a new target market for a new product launch. If business pages are looking for a faster route to gain likes, shares, and comments from people who might be interested in buying their products or services, is Facebook Ads. That’s our only option; and it’s really disheartening because Facebook is the first website that most of us browse to when we’re on the web. And with...
How to Value Your Business

How to Value Your Business

Setting a business valuation is one of the most challenging facets for entrepreneurs today. There are companies that can set the value of your business for you, they are hardwired in applying either one or multiple methods of valuation to set a suitable and realistic value of your business: and also you can get the research done yourself and value your own business without hiring any external Business Valuator. For an entrepreneur, the goal is to own a business that provides a comfortable living and that one day will be passed down the family line. Or, the goal is to build a business, sell it, make a reasonable return and do it all over again. There are ways to value a company and there is also no fixed time.  Business owners who seek to build their businesses and later exit their route should begin the valuation process early. By conducting their valuation early in the business life, owners get a primal wake-up-call. If you read more about Business Valuation, it will be better advised that you hire a Business Valuator to set a much more accurate value for your business because they really understand how to crunch numbers and its current withstanding in the industrial market. They are more proficient in undertaking the process of determining the economic value or the economic standpoint of your business as compared to your asset holding and income capabilities. They also do a thorough research on your existing competitors and how they’ve acquired their money. Always remember, when it comes to competitors, the steeper the hill is for your current business position, the...
Facebook Now Supports GIFs, But Not On Business Pages

Facebook Now Supports GIFs, But Not On Business Pages

After Twitter joined in by adding GIFs to its tweets in 2014, Facebook has now dived in by supporting GIFs on desktop and mobile devices. So, you can finally post GIFs to Facebook! After Facebook confirmed that it will now support GIFs (animated images) in its News Feed, they stated that initially not everyone will see that added functionality immediately, as the update is still rolling out. Formerly, when Facebook was just available to college students (you know the story), they had initiated supporting GIFs, but, obviously that didn’t continue for long. Facebook had ever since avoided GIFs, claiming that it made their News Feed too cluttered and chaotic. How can you post a GIF to Facebook? Instead of personally downloading a GIF from the web, to your computer and uploading it on Facebook (as for Photos and Videos), you need to paste a link to a GIF hosted site on an external website like Giphy, Imgur or any other, into your status update box and hit PUBLISH. That’s it. The rest Facebook will do and as a result, you get to see that GIF dancing on your profile feed.  Just to be clear, you can share GIFs from anywhere on the web to Facebook. Unfortunately, this functionality on Facebook exists solely for personal profile users and not for Brand Pages. Brand Pages cannot publish GIFs for their fans and followers. This either means that Facebook is rolling out this functionality for Brand Pages, or it has made the decision to restrict it...
5 concrete reasons to know more about SEO in 2015

5 concrete reasons to know more about SEO in 2015

There has been a drastic but effective fundamental change in the world of SEO this year and it’s going to change again! But one thing’s for certain, that whatever you do for your website from initiating your online “creative” presence, copywriting, development & IT to marketing strategies including social media: everything is leading you towards a good, and an outstanding SEO practice. Now, here are the reasons why you need to know enough about SEO to understand the relevancy and genuineness of websites that cater to your search needs. So, let’s get started. It’s not in the words. It’s in everything. My point may seem a little more dramatic but it is so true! Most of what we care about when writing articles and punching in related keywords is that we get to the spot where the user trusts our link on the search page and gets hitched instantaneously. But we’re never really there, aren’t we? Why is that? Let’s think about what else we can do to actually get to the spot most effectively, and less painstakingly. Focus on everything. When creating a website, we just don’t scale up big words and place them on our website so that searchers read that and get interested forever: yes, content is king and will always be but while content rules the kingdom, we have got to care most about its people and that includes user experience, development, creative visual appearance and social media marketing. Let your content do the talking and all that’s left, set the mood. SEO people aren’t just “SEO” people. When you’re best fit for a profession...
The Art of Minimalism in Designing

The Art of Minimalism in Designing

The immediate circle of minimalist web design, the concept and purpose of it expresses simplicity and style like never before. The introduction of minimalism in web designs has been swaying around for some time, and now it has emerged as contrastive to a more defined design form for web designers since people prefer less cluttered websites than overly crowded websites which hinders user experience and causes distractive confusion for the user. Minimalism can be described as the gravitation of replacing every ‘should’ element on a website with a ‘must’ element. Minimalism is primarily concerned with denuding away all that’s unnecessary on your website and bringing forth a simple, yet creative layout of images, content, call-to-action buttons, advertisements, etc. which is only needed, so, your visitors are more likely to interact with you based on the sole purpose of your website and not feel bombarded with many options that are not likely to help communicate your brand image. This is considered the best practice for web designers who want to create a cutting-edge and neoteric website layout for their clients or themselves. Having too many elements on a webpage leads to less control of choice and navigation for the users and this causes confusion, which ultimately leads to more bounce rates and a bad first impression. The more control you offer to your users, they’ll like you more and want more out of your website. This would be the time when you consider less as more and more as detrimental. I have stumbled upon a few websites that have rocked the anti-minimalist factor as well: each element on their webpage...
Native Advertising: Knowing How it Works

Native Advertising: Knowing How it Works

Native Ads aren’t the new hot marketing strategy in advertising, it has existed but been misunderstood which makes it more unknown and forgetful.  What it is is one of the most fastest and effective tactics that businesses can adopt to distribute their “sponsored content” more appropriately and gaining a good interaction level & ultimately conversions. It is a clear contextual marketing format that marketers are taking advantage of after understanding what it is and how it works in the advertising industry. Native advertising is true to its name: it is a paid advertisement that matches the category, content, function and form on which (platform such as Web or a Digital Page) it appears. It is what marketers can use to reach people with interests similar to the respective brand’s needs and initiating engagement with them. The best way to understand the definition of native advertising, I’ll give you an example: you’re reading a magazine about sports and you happen to come across an advertisement in the magazine, that introduces you to a new kind of sportswear that is both creative and useful to you, now if you’re a sports person you wouldn’t think twice before either logging on their brand’s webpage or one of their social media profiles to begin engaging with their content and maybe even purchasing that same product that was displayed in the ad. Such ad placements are native ads as they’re “native” to the kind of platform they’re published on. Now, we’ve understood the actual meaning of Native Advertising. Let me explain to you- How You Can Use It to Your Benefit. Step one: Target...
3 Steps To Make It On Your Own With Your Small Business Idea

3 Steps To Make It On Your Own With Your Small Business Idea

Everyone wants to make it on their own, start their own business from scratch and build something that changes the pace of the world. An extant business idea is multifold and one can achieve so much by just starting off from a small family office with the right facts and numbers. But what about when you’re working, everyday and you don’t get any positive returns from your business as much as you want to; should you get more market experience by working for someone else for a couple of years or should you invest more time and perhaps money in your own small business idea? In reality, this is confusing because you’re young when you started and now it seems that you’re definitely in two minds for getting some market experience for a year or two or you want to work on your business idea, whether it’s online or offline, day and night without any other professional distraction and responsibilities. Gradually, this confusion turns into frustration and either way you’re yearning for more positivity economically from your business and that’s not happening for you. So, under the given circumstances, what should you do? Should you keep your business idea on hold for a bit because you know that it’s not going anywhere and work for someone else to get more experience and build more professional contacts who can, possibly, help you in the future or should you keep to your business and become embedded with what your goal is for your business and be extremely patient? If you’re ever to be at such a standpoint where you’re hoping to...
The Brainstorming Argument

The Brainstorming Argument

Why brainstorming is opting out for creative thinking. And what can we do to adopt effective brainstorming sessions.  Opening for a good brainstorming session has become monotonous yet effective in the process for creating of solutions for problems in any business. Since “brainstorming” has become a dirty word in the business world, people are choosing to opt out of this method that has existed since its discovery back in the 1940s, by an advertising executive, Alex Osborn. This method was parallel to the encouragement of individual perspective in group meetings and the facilitation of a professional and creative environment for growth and proper office establishments. What it means that by conducting a brainstorming session, one can easily express one’s idea without the fear of judgment by those around him/her, being able to speak correctly and expressively in any crowd or possessing the ability push through problems and ease out hundreds of solutions without any office mishaps. It seems like a straightforward and transparent method that any business can embrace for the benefit of their outreach efforts; but lately, this method is considered unnecessary and short-sighted because individual mind has expanded to boundaries unimaginable and we prefer to think alone than think with a big crowd. Keeping a good, comfortable and friendly office environment calls for a healthy brainstorming session, definitely! It should not be enough to indulge in occasional office trips or people gossip near the window or water cooler for any business because that doesn’t involve the people that you’re working with into the cycle of brand growth and innovation, instead it just builds more personal relationships around...
Our Take on MassRoots (The Voice of the Cannabis Community)

Our Take on MassRoots (The Voice of the Cannabis Community)

When I read about this social network, it seemed exciting and distinctive, not because the rest of social media is “teaching” us otherwise, but for the simple reason that with this social network, MassRoots, we have just surpassed the limitation of self-expression and independence. People can not only be the end users of cannabis, a genus of a flowering plant often referred to as charas in India, but they can share and connect with like-minded people in countries where marijuana is legal and build another but distinctively different world of their own. Here, it isn’t about what is right or wrong for you, it’s a mobile application that gives what people want but never speak of, it’s not a choice, it’s nothing but a good, logical and brilliant business decision. MassRoots may be serving those who have similar interests, there maybe hindrances that are both self-inflictive and personal for the daily users of marijuana in this world, but this application is not promoting any of that, from where I’m seated, it looks like a genius idea for giving what others don’t give; an opportunity to trade, build and invite those already into the world of buying and selling marijuana, strictly in already-admissible boundaries. It’s again nothing socially or morally questionable, it was created while smoking, for the smokers and by the smokers; that’s the line that the creators at MassRoots have drawn and it looks unobjectionable.  This application not only lets consumers take pictures while they’re indulging the habit, this app lets dispensaries help sell in countries that have legalized marijuana, to people who may be interested in buying....
The “Influence” in Marketing

The “Influence” in Marketing

Persuading your customers to expose your brand on their social media profiles such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc. is the most effective marketing practice for the ‘millennial’ age. This way your customers can introduce you to other rubric buyers, online primarily, much better than what you can do. A simple yet provocative Word Of Mouth by those targeted customers can drive more traffic and social engagement to your website as the ratio of online WOM (Word Of Mouth) Marketing practices are much less effective online than offline; the voice of the customer has always been the most powerful concept in building brand awareness online but targeting those who are the perfect fit for your brand is essential. Not only are you exposing your brand, but you are also driving guaranteed buyers to your website and there’s a better genuine following online and offline. You don’t need thousands of followers with the rate of interaction being zero; it will be more reputable to have a consistent fan following on any one or all social media platforms so you know where your efforts are headed. The cusp of gaining such an audience is crucial by aiming for MARKET INFLUENCERS; these are the ones who will initially help build your brand across multiple social media platforms and blogs through recommendations and later will emerge as the true market influencers that are befitting as per your brand’s needs and goals. Such influencers will be a unique voice for your brand as consumers/customers will trust third-party talkers more than the brand itself. The more they talk about your brand to their followers on social...
